Updates from St. Columba - January 30, 2021

 Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Entrance

1. Christ be beside me,

Christ be before me,

Christ be behind me,

King of my heart.

Christ be within me,

Christ be below me,

Christ be above me,

never to part.

2. Christ on my right hand,

Christ on my left hand,

Christ all around me,

shield in the strife.

Christ in my sleeping,

Christ in my sitting,

Christ in my rising,

light of my life.

Presentation

1.         Where charity and love prevail,

            There God is ever found;

            Brought here together by Christ’s love,

            By love are we thus bound.

2.         With grateful joy and holy fear

            God’s charity we learn;

            Let us with heart and mind and soul

            Now love God in return.

3.         Forgive we now each other’s faults

            As we our faults confess;

            And let us love each other well

            In Christian holiness.

4.         Let strife among us be unknown,

            Let all contention cease;

            Be God’s the glory that we seek,

            Be ours God’s holy peace.

5.         Let us recall that in our midst

            Dwells God’s begotten Son;

            As members of his body joined,

            We are in Christ made one.

6.         No race nor creed can love exclude

            If honored be God’s name;

            Our family embraces all

            Whose Father is the same.

Communion Refrain: (Missalette #265)

Make of our hands a throne to hold the Bread of heaven,

Make of our hearts a home to hold the very wine of life.

In this myst’ry, Lord, make us one with you.

Recessional

1.         "Go make of all disciples."

            We hear the call, O Lord,

            That comes from you, our Father,

            In your eternal Word.

            Inspire our ways of learning

            Through earnest, fervent prayer,

            And let our daily living

            Reveal you ev'rywhere.

2.         "Go make of all disciples,"

            Baptizing in the name

            Of Father, Son, and Spirit--

            From age to age the same.

            We call each new disciple

            To follow you, O Lord,

            Redeeming soul and body

            By water and the Word.
