UPDATES
FROM ST. COLUMBA
– March 6-7, 2021
Third Sunday of Lent March 7, 2021
Entrance:
1. What wondrous love is this, O my soul,
O my soul!
What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this
that caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul;
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
2. To God and to the Lamb I will sing, I
will sing;
To God and to the Lamb I will sing.
To God and to the Lamb,
who is the great I AM,
While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing;
While millions join the theme, I will sing.
Text: Alexander Means,
1801-1853
Psalm: Lord, you have
the words of everlasting life.
Gospel
Acclamation:
Praise and honor to you,
O Lord, O Lord. Praise and honor to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Presentation: (9:00 and
12:00)
1. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Come unto me and rest;
Lay down, O weary one, lay down
Your head upon my breast."
I came to Jesus as I was,
So weary, worn, and sad;
I found in him a resting place,
And he has made me glad.
2. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Behold, I freely give
The living water; thirsty one,
Stoop down, and drink, and live."
I came to Jesus, and I drank
Of that lifegiving stream;
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived,
And now I live in him.
3. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"I am this dark world's light;
Look unto me, your morn shall rise,
And all your day be bright."
I looked to Jesus, and I found
In him my star, my sun;
And in that light of life I'll walk
Till trav'ling days are done.
Text: Horatius Bonar,
1808-1889

Communion:
Shepherd me, O God,
beyond my wants, beyond my fears, from death into life.
1. God is my shepherd, so nothing shall I
want,
I rest in the meadows of faithfulness and love,
I walk by the quiet waters of peace.
2. Gently you raise me and heal my weary
soul,
you lead me by pathways of righteousness and truth,
my spirit shall sing the music of your name.
3. Though I should wander the valley of
death,
I fear no evil, for you are at my side,
your rod and your staff, my comfort and my hope.
4. You have set me a banquet of love in
the face of hatred,
crowning me with love beyond my pow'r to hold.
5. Surely your kindness and mercy follow
me all the days of my life;
I will dwell in the house of my God for evermore.

WHO
DOES THE CARDINAL’S APPEAL HELP?
Please
join us online Tuesday, March 9, from 5:30-6:30PM for a conversation with Father Jean Paul Soler,
Pastor of Sts. Clements and Michael Parish, and Elizabeth Guevara, Adult Faith
Formation Director of Operations, around the theme of “Hope and Healing
Throughout Coronavirus.” In our first conversation held on February 25th
we had a great conversation that was both enlightening and invigorating. These
conversations are a great tool to inform your parish of the good works going on
all around them.
